This weekend the Tikiroom in Regina held their 12th annual Welcome to Winter contest, Canada's longest running contest series. I unfortunately could'nt make it this year, but I'm sure fun was had by all. Check out this link for video and photo up dates. Here is how it went down:

I don't know why but I get more excited to find out who Phelps thinks is the best skater than I do for Christmas morning. I hoped it was Sheckler, but I knew it had to be Silas Baxter-Neil. This morning Phelps announced that Silas had indeed taken the title this year. Sorry Ryan, you did'nt win enough Dew Tours maybe next time. Congrasts Silas, well deserved. I can't wait for next year! Who will be #20, Malto perhaps?

What does Gleaming the Cube mean anyways...

I think this is the first time I cheered for the bad guys, and who wouldn't. In 1986 this was as punk as it got in rural Ontario. I started skating shortly after I saw Thrashin' and haven't stopped since. I still have a jean vest. Get off the beach Valley Scum!
