Last night I set out on journey of epic proportions. My quest was to view not one but two skateboard films in a single evening at two very different locations within Vancouver. My first stop was the
Boulevard Skateshop located in
Kerrisdale to attend "Movie Night" where they would be showing the newest offering from
Cliche Skateboards,
Cle. I was welcomed at the shop by 20 kids under the age of 15, 1 kid over the age of 30 and enough pizza and soda to keep everyone up all night. A good time was had by all,
especially the kids who, wired on sugar, did not sit still for one second.
Success, everyone left with at least stickers and a DVD! Thanks goes out to Kevin and all the kids who showed up, cant wait till next movie night. Visual evidence:

Press play already Kev!

The usual product toss was replaced by an "adult controlled" drawing of names.
Strangely enough the biggest kid still came out on top! Congrats buddy!
Next I was off to the
Gastown for the Vancouver
Premier of
Dan Watson's latest titled "Skateboarding". Upon my
arrival I was delighted to discover that it was also wing night, way to plan an event! As for the film it featured some slick riding from a bunch of Saskatoon locals, most notably one time supra employees Ian Sargent and
Ninetimes Jason Gordon. I had a few drinks, talked some smack and discovered that Vancouver clubs/bars are banning Ed Hardy and Affliction clothing wearing
individuals from their establishments. Good news Kevin,
Tapout is still OK. Another thanks goes out to Ian and Dan,
http://www.youwillsoon.blogspot.com/ and all the chickens who made this possible.
Wings!
"Skateboarding" on the big screen.

Ian and Dan. Sorry I missed your part Dan, I was talking about Affliction clothing with the bouncer.
